Janet Napoles shows—off a "special"
rosary during the bail hearing at Sandiganbayan,Mrs. Napoles showed on the
media her marble rosary that she personally received from the recently
canonized Saint Pope John Paul II.
Her lawyer David disclosed to
media that she Napoles prays 2,000 rosaries in a day. Given that a day has 24
hours or 1,440 minutes, his client Napoles would have to complete an entire
rosary in less than a minute praying a non—stop for the entire day… every day. David
pointed out that Napoles paid for the schooling of 200 priests and had helped
construct Catholic churches.
Does this mean that God will exonerate
Napoles’ stay in the Purgatory? So that, in spite of the billions of pesos she
stole from government—billions should have gone to marginalized segments of the
Philippine society but instead went to her pockets.
All wrongdoing is forgivable—just
ask for forgiveness and God will forgive you. That is what the Catholic
teaching has been instilling in the minds of the Filipinos for almost 500
years.
