A total of Php700 million waste to
energy facility, that would produce a maximum of two megawatts power a day,
will rise in Tagum in 2015.
A holding firm the Metro Pacific
Investment Corporation signed the memorandum of agreement MOA with the city
officials, led by the City Mayor Allan Rellon, for the said construction of the
energy plant.
The facility would utilize 80
tons of wastes for the conversion to bio—fuel, this was according to the MPIC
president Jose Ma. Lim.
The said bio-fuel would come out
of process could then used to fire up diesel-fed generators to produce the two
megawatts power each day.
Mayor Rellon said that MPIC will be
working with the technology—provider the Global Green International Energy
Philippines (GGIEP) led by the chief executive officer Matthews for the said
facility construction.
“We have high expectations for the project. MPIC would put all its resources to make this a successful venture,” Lim said to Rellon and the other officials.
