San Juan-class ships consist of a
4 SAR vessels that was built by Australian shipbuilding company Tenix for Philippine
Coast Guard and commissioned from 2000-2003.

class designed for Maritime Emergency vessel with capabilities to evacuation support
recovery of survivors at sea, these includes provide emergency, jackstay
transfer, medical and operating facilities, helicopter operations and refueling,
maritime control and pollution containment, firefighting facilities for ships
and decompression and diving facilities.
The vessel has four 25—person
SOLAS inflatable rafts; with six 65 person reversible rafts and one 6.5 meter
Rapid Intervention Boat with speed excess of 25 knots and 85 nautical mile
range.
