President Aquino defended Vice—President
Binay in the amid talk that two have had falling—out after vice—president
criticized administration's policies.
Aquino speaking to reporters said
that he sees no need to haul over the coals on Binay since vice—president is
doing good job as member of Cabinet.
"Ginagawa naman ni Binay ang
trabaho niya. Nagawa niya ito nang maayos. No point of castigating him after
doing a good job," Aquino said.
The president confirmed that he
and VP Binay talked about corruption allegations being leveled against vice-president
in Senate Blue Ribbon subcommittee hearings.
President Aquino said that he
assured Vice President that all processes will undergo in connection to the allegations
will be "professional."
Aquino also said that he told
Binay after their meeting at Bahay Pangarap that he might need to answer those allegations
thrown at him.
He told Binay “truth will
come out and that between the two of them, the VP knows the truth."
