The Filipino boxing icon and the
same time the Sarangani Representative "Manny" Pacquiao took time
from his training for his upcoming fight that is scheduled next month to
welcome the Philippine Vice President Binay in his place General Santos City.
Representative Pacquiao led by the local
officials welcomed Binay at airport.
A transcript sent by Office of Vice
President indicated Binay that he was visiting the said area to distribute the housing
units. Vice President Binay assigned as the government's housing czar, heading at
the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council.
When he was asked if his
welcoming Binay sought to show support for the vice president who is embroiled
in controversy over the alleged overpricing in construction of Makati Hall
Building II, Representative Pacquiao said that it is his duty as a representative
of Sarangani to welcome the second highest official in the country.
The two officials also took part
in a prepared boodle fight at General Santos Public Market and later on, were
both at Lagao National High School.
