Video: Turkey announced its First 5 attack choppers that is ready for combat

Turkey finally announced its first five tactical reconnaissance and attack helicopters that have been added to the list of its arsenal during the presentation of choppers to press. The first ever five choppers that were presented to public at Land Forces Aviation Command located at Güvercinlik Military Airport, Ankara.

Lieutenant Colonel Lafçı said that the five ATAK T/129 helicopters were delivered to General Staff after the successful test flights that were conducted by Land Forces Command over past four and a half months.



“The five attack helicopters have been added to the arsenal team of General Staff. In coming weeks, another set of four choppers will also be added,” said by Lafçı.

After a short introduction of specifications of ATAK T/129, a demonstration flights were also shown, in which it received thumbs up from the spectators. The said attack helicopters will be stationed in Ankara, and will take to engage in fights against the terrorists in future.


The attack chopper has the capability to carry 76 missiles, which include antitank missiles. The important components of the said attack choppers, such as security and defense systems, were also produced locally.
