‘Abu Sayyaf a history due to AFP’s non-stop military manhunt’

The Philippine military is on its way to pursuit the rebel Abu Sayyaf group as military spokesman confirmed that they have discovered another abandoned enemy camp in the Patikul, Sulu.

Colonel Arrojado, the Joint Task Group commander of Sulu said that the troops from 35th Infantry Battalion found the camp wherein it has combat uniforms, printed documents and their flags were recovered.

The said camp, equipped with a total of six bunkers and training area, which was believed to have been occupied week ago by an estimate of 30 men.

Arrojado also said that the two recovered flags had markings “Sultaniyah Sulu Darul Islam” and “Happy 60th Founding Anniversary Sulu Darul Islam.”

He then said that the Philippine military troops were still on the way scouring the discovered area as part of military and police’s all—out law enforcement operations against terrorist group.

Arrojado said that the Abu Sayyaf group has been running out of food and their potential place to hide as military has been pursuing its members day and night.

“If the said bandits come together together, they can reach up to 200 members. And if they splinter into four groups, one group has an estimate of 40 members, another 30, one 70 and Sahiron has a total of 70,”said by the official.

There would be no let—up in campaign as military scoured Patikul area and Talipao mountain range where bandits believed to be hiding. What is important now is that the rebel group will have no time to rest. And soon they will get tired running and they will be arrested.

As the Abu Sayyaf’s abandonment its camp and some temporary encampment, this only show that they are on the run.
