Another Rebel member killed in Sultan Kudarat

In the City of Cotabato Philippines, A communist rebel member was killed and soldier was wounded in firefight encounter in the mountains of Senator Aquino town in the province of Sultan Kudarat.

Colonel Feliciano of the 601st Infantry Brigade said that the firefight lasted an hour, which caused a slightly wounded Private First Class Dominador Hanggin.


Col. Feliciano said that the government forces recovered some remains of the slain rebel that was identified as “Pastor,” with his AK 47 rifle.

The Elements of Bravo Company of 33rd Infantry Battalion having its offensive operation to the Sitio Uminay, Barangay Nati, Senator Ninoy Aquino town in order to check reported presence of the armed men in the said area when they were fired by New People’s Army rebel  members, triggering a fire—fight.


The suspected rebels then immediately fled deep into the mountains.
