An estimate of 2,000 CamNorte people
held a small rally in front of the provincial Capitol of Camarines Norte to
call for resignation of the Governor Edgardo Tallado.
The protesters alleged Tallado no
longer fit as province's governor after his recent sex scandal photos leaked
out on the public. Governor denied that the photos were reliable.
Josie governor's wife claimed that
she had to hide in public due to the threats to her life. She also explained that
she was being accused by her husband (Governor Tallado) of spreading the scandal
photos that feature the governor Tallado together with his mistress.
As the Governor apologized on the
leaked controversy maintained that it will not affect his work as the governor
of CamNorte.
During the rally, the provincial
capitol was then lock—down. A loud music was played for them to drown out the
noise that was created by protesters.
