Chinese Restaurant shut down by Philippine Authorities in Quezon City

BIR or Bureau of Internal Revenue has recently closed down a Mandarin Chinese restaurant Sky in Quezon City for committing tax violations for the taxable years ranged 2011 — 2013.

The BIR authorities said that the restaurant located at Banawe St., was immediately padlocked for the case of under declaration of its sales by more than 30 percent.


The investigations that was conducted by regional investigation division of the BIR Region 7—Quezon City showed the company has under declared value added tax declaration by Php25.96 million or 574 percent, Php23.04 million or 310 percent or and P18.36 million or 151 percent for 2011, 2012 and 2013, respectively.

The said restaurant was closed after it had failed comply the 48—hour notice and 5—day VAT compliance notice issued by BIR. The said closure order was then signed by the BIR deputy commissioner for operations Nelson Aspe.


The Mandarin Sky owned and operated by the Mandarin Sky food Restaurant, Incorporated and with registered address at the 478 Banawe Street Barangay Sto. Domingo, Quezon City.
