Philippine President to Inspect the Korean Made Fighter Jets

The Philippines President is on the process of inspecting the FA-50 fighter jets that Philippines recently acquired from the South Korean firm, the Korea Aerospace Industry (KAI).

Last March, Philippine Air Force (PAF) signed the Php.18.9 billion contract for the purchase of 12 brand new fighter jets in order to boost the poorly—equipped Philippine military under AFP modernization program.

FA—50 has radar warning receiver and a night imaging vision system that is capable of carrying a 4,500 kilograms weapons and air —air missiles.

Just last August, the South Korean media reported that China protested against the South Korea's plan to donate 1,200—ton patrol boat and a landing vessel to Philippines.
