P-7 Billion for Philippine military upgrade 2015

Philippine Military will soon received new assets such as air assets in support for its operational activities.

As part of Philippine military upgrade 2015, the administration thru Department of National Defense allocated a total budget of Php. 7 Billion which will be spend for military upgrade projects.

The summary of the upgrade project includes 18 projects for the Army and the General headquarters, Navy will also received 16 projects and 13 for Philippine projects. The government arsenal will also received 2 projects.

Given by the initial fact for the Philippine military upgrade 2015, officials cannot reveal on the concrete details to the public. The overall breakdown of the budget includes a P4.97 Billion for Philippine Air Force for the purchase of Six close air support craft, the other P4.8 Billion is for the procurement of eight combat helicopters, the P3.44 Billion will be spend for eight attack helicopters, P3.16 Billion for the purchase of two lead fighter jets trainer, P1.76 Billion for a single medium lift craft and P813 million for two light aircraft.

Air Force of the Philippines were set also to received their due projects which includes jet munitions, basing radar system short-range, basing radar system long-range and flight simulator. Philippine Navy upgrade projects include Marine Imagery and Targeting System. The acquisition will boost Marines search and rescue operations.


The targeting system package known as drone will include a set of six small unmanned aerial vehicle, nine sets for device sub-system target acquisition and twelve for the integration sub-system tactical sensor with logistics support.
