China Rejects United States recommendation to Freeze construction on South China Sea

The State Department of United States proposed that "no building of outpost expanding within the South China Sea among Asian Nation", this is to help minimize the tensions towards the mineral rich waters.

All nations are advised to avoid doing destabilizing activities and keep in mind the commitment on the navigation freedom on Asia Pacific Sea.


The assertive action of China creates a tenuous situation on five neighbors over the control on tiny reefs and islands with potential natural reserves. In order to minimize the tension, proposal from the United States where send to all nations to voluntarily freeze any activities that will escalate tension.

But China again rejected the suggestion, they insist that their territorial claims have strong historical basis.

Freezing any construction activities will help cool down the situation and could lead to a peaceful negotiation. The senate suggestion has already been passed to those affected nations in Asia.
