Super Typhoon “Glenda - Rammasun” Slams China

Strongest typhoon soon to hit China after 40 years made its landfall Friday” this was the official statement from the china weather authorities. The said super typhoon causes at least 54 dead in the Philippines.

The NMC of China said that Rammaasun formerly known as Glenda hit Hianan in mid afternoon with winds up to 216km at 134m per hour. This was the strongest storm to hit southern China Since 1973.



Super Typhoon Rammasun is too dangerous” quoted on a Chinese poster on social media. Before the super typhoon arrives NMC issued a “red alert” highest among the warning, in preparation for the storm.

70,000 Chinese residents were expected to be affected by the typhoon, now they are being evacuated by disaster authorities of Hainan. All resorts has been shut down including bus operations, this was the immediate action of the Hainan Tourism Authorities.


The authorities of Guangdong also launched its high level warning to activate emergency response.
