More Koreans to work in the Philippines

Nicon Famerong the Office director of Labor Communication said that more and more foreigners are applying vacant jobs in our country (Philippines), particularly on foreign owned companies.

Philippines have been the target of some big companies who have planned to expand its operation across Asia. Added with the recent tension on territorial dispute with China on South China Sea, they were planning for an alternative place to move their assembly and production branch.

Based from the data on alien employment permit application, there was an increase of 30% said Famerong on a radio live interview.

He said that many foreigners specifically “Koreans” were seeking permits to work in our country, because there are many Korean companies in the Philippines.

Most of the positions available are for those employees with tough to find skills. These positions included confidential jobs like software engineer on the product the company.
