PH’s Spratlys claim Case Handling “Disloyalty or Legal strategy to country?”

Solicitor General Jardeleza was questioned by JBC on Philippines Spratly Claims case handling against China to the Nations arbitral tribunal when it was scrutinize by the members of JBC (Judicial and Bar Council).

The ranking government sources said that in its separate interviews this was due to “integrity issue” which was raised by Jardeleza.

Our sources learned that Sol-Gen. Jardelaza directed the international lawyers of the Philippines to delete fourteen paragraphs that discuss Itu Aba, the biggest islands in Spratlys. Itu Aba was also claimed by Taiwan.

International Foreign lawyers wrote to the Foreign Affairs Secretary Rosario to inform him that removing Itu Aba in the claim would be disadvantageous to the Philippine case.

Solicitor General Jardeleza was supposed to explain as a legal strategy not to incorporate Itu Aba as what other layers believed.  Another source said that President Aquino told repercussions to delete Itu Aba from the case, and Aquino directed Jardeleza to include Itu Aba in the memorial before the final submission.

Jardeleza disagreed that the Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) did not allow him to give details his side.
