After the announcement the arrival
of four hundred sailors from Russia from western France for the training on the
Mistral amphibious ships that will be delivered to Moscow end of this year.
France announced that they will
not deliver the under construction warship to the Russians, saying that “were
not on place.”
The French presidential palace
released a statement blaming the Russian sanctions to Ukraine, and the 2
Mistral—class ships will not be delivered to Russia as per stated on the
delivery deadline this October. The ship was named Vladivostok, a small
aircraft carrier that is appropriate for chopper landing and takeoffs.
Vladivostok is now in the final
stage of construction at the French port city shipyard of St. Nazaire. It is one of two warships France has
contracted to build for the Russians and the second was named Sevastapol to be
delivered in 2015, but with the statement made no mention of it. The said contract
of the two ships is worth USD1.6 billion.
