Pentagon —Partner Nations of United States launch its first strike against IS

The partner nations of United States are now carrying out its first air strike on the IS targets Syria, ongoing operations mark an opening of new and more complicated battle front against the militants.

The rear admiral of Pentagon said "I can confirm that United States military and its partner nation forces are now undertaking military action against the (Islamic State) terrorists in Syria using mix fighter, bomber and Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles,"


Kirby did not reveal which nations have joined United States, which build a coalition to combat extremist Sunni Muslim force that seized large expanses of the territory in Iraq and Syria and proclaimed caliphate erasing borders in the heart of Middle East.

United States official that is speaking on the condition of anonymity told Reuters that there were Arab partners helping the strikes.


The strikes happens hours before President Obama goes to New York for U.N. General Assembly where he will try to convince nations following his drive to assertively take on the Islamic State.
