Philippine Fleet makes a courtesy call in Indonesia

The Philippine Fleet Commander of Marine Ready Force, Commodore Amba and the Deputy Commander of Eastern Fleet Command, Commodore Kurni thumbs up for the Philippine Navy—Indonesian Navy on a stronger ties and friendship.

The Fleet—Marine Ready Force chief Commodore Amba, Sealift and Amphibious Force head Captain Vingson, Naval Force chief Captain Mogol, and the BRP Ramon Alcaraz officer in command Captain Baldovino rendered a courtesy call on Indonesian military heads, Surabaya City mayor and the head of Filipino community in the locality.


Likewise, the group will visit PT PAL Shipyard where one of the Philippine Navy’s strategic sealift vessels is now being built.


Just recently, Indonesia and Philippines forged an agreement in relation to the delimitation of their EEZ (exclusive economic zone) boundary which provides enhanced cooperation between two navies, especially in conduct of the border patrol operations and the information sharing to address common maritime concerns.
