Philippine warship arrives in Indonesia

The Philippine warship (PF-16) named BRP Ramon Alcaraz arrived in Indonesia Surabaya for the three—day port visit.

BRP Alcaraz just successfully participated in the recent multilateral exercise “Kakadu 2014″ in Australia m moving to Indonesia.


The Philippine Navy (PN) said that the port visit intend to uphold naval diplomacy, naval camaraderie and to foster goodwill with Indonesian Navy. BRP Alcaraz docked at port Surabaya.

The BRP Commander of Fleet—Marine Ready Force, Commodore Jorge F. Amba and Commander of Sealift and Amphibious Force, Capt. Narciso Vingson together with Naval Task Force 80 (NTF 80) Commander, Capt. Albert A. Mogol and Commanding Officer of Ramon Alcaraz, Capt. Ernesto O. Baldovino render a courtesy calls to Chiefs of Indonesian Military, City Mayor and the head of the Filipino community in Surabaya.


Philippine Navy will host a dinner reception for Indonesian counterparts and Filipino community on board with BRP Alcaraz. Moreover, the ship will be open for a tour during its entire stay in Indonesia.
