The Philippine Vice President is
not resigning from Cabinet, Cavite Governor Remulla his spokesman said
yesterday. Governor Remulla was responding a text message that has been
circulating yesterday about the plan of Binay to break away from President
Aquino.
“Advance info: Vice President
Binay to protect its allies, he announce resignation and break with PNoy at his
press conference on Monday,” text message sent from the mobile number
09089828645.
“Not true at all. None of that is
remotely real,” Governor Remulla said when asked about the circulating message.
In the media interviews this past
week, GovernorRemulla absolved Malacañang of involvement in the demolition
drive against Binay.
He said that the President is too
busy pressing those matters, like the Bangsamoro bill, to initiate efforts
supposedly to damage the reputation of the Vice President.
“That’s going too far and I don’t
think so. I think the President is busy attending matters like the Bangsamoro,
katulad nu’ng mga traffic natin (or our problem on traffic congestion),”
Governor Remulla said.
