Over 3,000 New Philippine National Cops to be hired

Philippine National Police inducted the 3,496 recruits into the police force in order to increase police visibility and its anti—crime operations in the different parts of country.
 The said new recruits were recently inducted during the oath-taking held in 17 police regional offices across country from October 7 to October 21.

The said new Police Officers 1 PO1 will receive basic monthly salary amounting to Php.14,834 with a mandatory allowances and non—cash benefits totaled to PhpP5,660 per month.

New recruits expected to beef-up existing personnel of the PNP to complement the law enforcement and its public safety operations on regional offices.


Police Director Morente, PNP DPRM,  said that the new 3,496 police recruits, composed of 2,877 male and a 619 female police rookies, that have recently completed required recruitment processes of the Neuro—Psychiatric Screening; Eligibility Examinations, Drug Test, Physical Agility Test ,Physical, Medical and Dental Examination and comprehensive Background Investigation.

Morente also said that the random drug testing is conducted anytime during entire recruitment processing and is training period.

Upon their appointment in service, the new recruits will have to undergo mandatory Public Safety Basic Recruit Course at Police National Training Institute for six months after the trainees will undergo another six months of the Field Training Program before they are officially assigned to a full duty status in Regional Public Safety Battalion.

The PNP spokesman Wilben Mayor said that the National Police Commission authorized PNP to recruit around 13,000 police personnel this year as part of 2014 Regular and Attrition Recruitment Program.


Attrition Recruitment Program is to replace projected number of personnel who will be separated from service due to dismissal for cause, retirement and resignation.
