The Philippine Department of
Justice) filed drug charges to the four Chinese nationals that were arrested in
separate raids in the city of Pampanga that yielded a Php.7 billion worth of illegal
drugs “shabu”.
The Chinese nationals were charged
by the Pampanga court named as Jayson Lee, “Tsoi” Near Tan a.k.a. and “Jun Lee“
Willt Yao a.k.a., all the suspects from Xiamen and Yingying Huang a.k.a. Sophia
is from Fujian.
They said arrested Chinese charged
with the violation of Sections 8 (Manufacture of Dangerous Drugs and/or
Controlled Precursors and Essential Chemicals) and section 11 (Possession of
Dangerous Drugs) of Article II of Republic Act No. 9165. Yingying charged for the
violation of Section 11 because she was arrested in her house, not in the said alleged
shabu laboratory where other accused were also arrested.
The said twin raid in the Greenville
and Richtown subdivisions conducted by the composite team from Philippine Drug
Enforcement Agency and Philippine National Police—Anti—Illegal Drugs Special
Operations Task Force.
The drug operation yielded biggest
drug seizure in Philippines, with operatives seizing a 185 kls. shabu from Greenville
raid, and 276 kls from Richtown raid. The confiscated drugs were subjected to a
confirmatory at the laboratory for examination.
DOJ said that the “the
presence of the shabu precursors Phenylaziridine (Aziridine) and Dimethyl in
the laboratory is a prima facie proof of the manufacture of dangerous drugs.”
