UP to Tiu he has no doctorate degree

UP (University of the Philippines) College of Public Administration immediately denied that the businessman Mr. Antonio Tiu, alleged dummy of the Philippine Vice President Binay, earned his doctorate degree from the said university.

According to the letter that was sent, the officer—in—charge of UP-NCPAG Erwin Alampay said that the college's records specify that Mr. Tiu is not yet a holder of Doctorate Degree in the Public Administration.

The said letter was in response to the one—page advertisement, titled ''So the truth may be known: An open letter to the Filipino people from Antonio 'Tony' Tiu'', published on October 21 2014 issue of Philippine Star.

Alampay also noted that Mr. Tiu was admitted to the said program in the year 2006 and last enrolled in the year 2007. The school authority also said that Mr. Tiu completed a total of 9 units only and the total 42 units are required for DPA degree.

So therefore Mr. Tiu has not yet earned any degree from the said University, ''In the spirit that the truth may indeed be known, we hope you could issue this clarification of the facts."
