As to emphasize that the president
is not out there to seek for another term, President Aquino spoke the pitfalls for
allowing sitting president to run for second term.

dinner, President Aquino said that one—term president would be enough making hard
decisions instead doing what would make him popular.
"If you are not looking reelection,
then you can do unpopular decisions when they are really needed. You focused on
finding solutions as direct answer to the raised question rather how poll
numbers show," Aquino said.
Aquino warned those who are
planning to remain in power despite of the term limits.
The president told audience about
Philippines' experience with dictatorship when President Marcos managed to stay
in power for twenty years in despite two—term limit under the Constitution that
prevailed during that time.
Aquino counted days left in his
term. "590 days," he said.
