United States, Japan repeat its strong ties with Philippines to support fight for Territory

In the past during World War II, these countries United States and Japan were enemies but at present they are now strong allies to protect Philippine peace and security.

During the recent commemoration of the famous “Day of Valor” in Bataan, both ambassadors from United States' and Japan's to Philippines expressed its support for country’s amid growing tensions specifically in the disputed area of South China Sea.

Philippine is not alone when threatened with security

Philip Goldberg American Ambassador reiterated United States President Barack Obama's statement in the recent year that their defense commitment to Philippines is purely "ironclad."

"In good times and bad, we stand together, shoulder-to-shoulder. In 2015, as in 1942, we face challenges and threats together as partners, friends, and in many cases now, family," American Ambassador Goldberg said in his commemoration speech.

"And when Philippines is threatened, it is not alone," he added.

Kazuhide Ishikawa the ambassador Japan to Philippines also apologized for Japan's atrocities during the World War II, but assured that his country becomes a "peace-loving" nation that strongly upholds human rights and the rule of law.

Japan is now determined toward peace, stability and prosperity for Asia-Pacific region and entire international community.

"We are very pleased to work together with the Philippines, the United States, and all of our partners to this end. Seventy years ago, we were enemies. Now, we are friends, close friends. May this friendship will be forever," he said.

The alliance between Philippines and Japan has already been expanding through security and through defense cooperation.
