Additional 10 Multi-role Patrol Boats for Philippine Coast Guard

Last December, MalacaƱang spokesman announced that JICA agency from Japan will provide a USD184 million soft loan to assist Philippine Coast Guards plan to acquire more vessels to increase its maritime security.

Currently the Philippine Coast Guard has nine Fleet boats utilized for search and rescue functions. Some Uniformed personnel of PCG man few vessels that belongs to BFAR, commissioned to minimize illegal pouching to our country and to eliminate illegal fishing towards our waters.


The additional multi-role patrol boats will be used by some of the new recruited PCG uniformed personnel’s to uphold safety at the deep and to protect our nautical environment.

Thru the modernization program by the Philippine government, PCG budget of Php2 billion was then doubled, now it is more than Php4.3 billion pesos.

As the budget increased more than a hundred percent for the past 4 years, this would likely increase the operational capabilities of the PCG. It is expected that this budget will increase in the succeeding years as the government is supporting them.

With its strong operational capabilities, “PCG can now enforce Republic Act No. 9983” enhance maritime security and prevent tragedies on seas.

Corruption at kickback na nman yan..buti pa tayo ung gumawa at magpuno sa sarili nating sandatahang lakas...kaya natin gumawa ng mas malakas at hightech na mga barko mas mura pa kasi local made lng..gusto nila ng import kasi nakakakuha sila ng kickback per unit...aminin nyo na mauubos din ang lahi nyo na manloloko sa ating bayan...
