Chinese Vessels who have been seen in the South China Sea (West Philippine Sea) were not only having its extended maritime patrol operation in Recto bank but they seems to be planting markers within EEZ (Exclusive Economic Zone) of the Philippines in the oil rich maritime area.

They are not just patrolling the area, they are installing in own markers. While they are placing their own naval markers in Recto Bank, we also intermittently blasting them,”

An officer in the navy, who has been assigned in the area, confirmed the governments’ directive, that the elite naval teams dispatched to remove Chinese markers in the area (Recto Bank).

Recto Bank believed to be full of huge mineral deposits. And maritime experts, including the former National Security Adviser Roilo Golez, believed that it is the main reason why Chinese continue posturing at West Philippine Sea, specifically in the Ayungin Shoal.
