Australia to provide Military aircrafts to support US anti—IS campaign

Australia government is now preparing to put in 10 aircraft from its military as support to the ever more aggressive movement against Islamic State extremists, Tony Abbott the Prime Minister said.

Prime Minister Abbott said that Australia was just responding the request addressed by the United States for the specific contributions to the international alliance.


President Obama announced more aggressive military campaign will be done. United States airstrikes has already been launched at the select targets in Iraq and United States planes and special drones will be gathering intelligence on the targets before officially launching the airstrikes in Syria.

Australia will also prepare eight F/A18 fighter jets, an E—7A Wedgetail Early Warning and Control aircraft and KC—30A Tanker and Transport aircraft which will be deployed to United Arab Emirates.


The special operations personnel who will assist Iraq's security forces were being prepared, but the combat troops were not being deployed.
