France eyeing Philippines aerospace industry investment

EU country is keen on the exploration on more opportunities in the infrastructure, in which French firms were already involved in the PPP projects in Philippines

The exploratory talks were on progress as France is now eyeing prospects investments in aerospace industry of Philippines.

The France ambassador to Philippines Garachon said that there were exploratory talks on private side, during the visit to country French President Francois Hollande.


The said opportunities are seen both supply of the aircraft parts, including its maintenance, repair, and overhaul.

DTI now working with the GIFAS (Groupement des industries françaises aéronautiques et spatiales), a French aerospace industry association, on the initiatives which will improve country’s capabilities as supplier in global aerospace supplying chain.

DTI said that Philippines is a well credentialed leading companies like the SDV, Lufthansa Technik, MOOG Technologies, and the BE Aerospace already given country a foothold in global aerospace supply string.

Earlier this year, Mouvement des entreprises de France recently sent business delegation where Philippine government encouraged a French investment, technology, and a training in aerospace, including field of the aircraft maintenance, repair, overhaul, and logistics.


MEDEF a 23—man mission composed from French companies involved in the airport design and construction of the Aéroports de Paris and  Vinci Airports,  Green Lighthouse, Crédit Agricole, infrastructure, transport, and other public works and space technology.
