“Case has been filed by the BIR vs
eleven businessman”- this was the result of its campaign on internal
auditing by the Bureau of Internal Revenue BIR.

Trading based in Ermita, Manila was sued for the case of tax liability covering
from 2009 -2010 with an overwhelming amount of Php5.28 billion.
“Ching evaded tax” failed to file the income tax returns and failed
to present correct information to his VAT since 2009 – 2010. Bureau of Internal
Revenue official said that undeclared sales greater than Php1 billion in the
year 2009 and almost Php5 billion in the year 2010.
At the same date another three officers
of tobacco, food and beverages wholesale firm president in the name of Rene
Calzada the President, Michael Lu the Treasurer and Ramona tan the General Manager
were also sued in the same case of evading tax in the year 2010 with an amount
of Php4.47 billion. Mailene Bisnag and independent accountant was included on
the charge.
A Specialist Trading official on
Logistic Warehousing Corp. was also sued by the BIR for failing to pay its tax
obligation amounting to Php70.08 million.
